What's up guys its wasabi here and today I'm going to brief you on what's been happening in my art class and the project I've been working on. I have to, as I mentioned in one of my previous posts, make a sculpture, a portrait in the style of Alberto Giacometti and also an interior in the style of Brett Whiteley. These must all be completed in the term along with many other class assignments and assessments I have been given from different classes. I find the subject very enjoyable because I get to express myself but also in the style of two different artists. I'm already halfway through the project because I've finished the portrait and am now starting on my sculpture. My sculpture will be in the style Giacometti along with the portrait and I have decided that I will position a man sitting on a stool like my portrait to have a connection between the two artworks. It will give them a meaning so I can have the subject matter of school but I can also give them a base to work on so I can express myself in the style of the one painter but in two unrecognizable ways that only I and a few certain other people can recognize.
